Why does your hair feel dry, brittle & straw like?

Does your hair feel rough and coarse?

Is it frizzy, dull and lacking shine? Resembles dry straw?

You're not alone. Many people with wavy hair face this issue.

Keep reading to discover why your hair feels like straw and how to fix it...

1. Lack of moisture

Wavy hair is more porous than straight hair, so it loses moisture easily.

Dry hair becomes rough and brittle, leading to that straw-like appearance.

Solution: Use a deep conditioning mask once per week.

Leave it on for 30 minutes to penetrate into your hair strands. Providing a vital hydration hit.

2. Damaged cuticles

The outer layer of the hair shaft is called the cuticle.

Heat styling, chemical treatments and environmental damage can harm the cuticles.

This damage makes hair lose smoothness and softness, leading to a straw-like texture.

Solution: Use a plex treatment to restore your hair's internal structure.

This treatment repairs damaged cuticles and restores broken hair bonds, helping your hair retain moisture.

Your hair will become more manageable, resilient, shiny, and healthy.

3. Your natural hair oils have been stripped

Natural oils are essential for healthy hair.

They moisturise, protect and nourish your hair.

Harsh shampoos (contain silicones, sulphates), heating tools, sun and wind strip away your moisture and oils.

Solution: Use gentler shampoos and conditioners without sulphates and silicones.

Apply natural hair oil to seal in moisture.

Avoid heating tools, but if necessary, use a diffuser on low heat.
