Shelly's wavy hair routine

"I was forever a straight-haired girl. I straightened my hair for 42 years!

Until I realised my hair was secretly wavy.

After trying countless brands and combinations, I finally found my perfect match: Merwave.

Here's what works wonders for my thick hair...

Step 1:

Wash my hair with steps 1 & 2.

I do all the next steps with my head upside down!

I try really hard to touch my hair as little as possible. Less touching = less frizz for me.

Step 2:

While my hair is dripping wet, I use a pound coin-sized amount of Step 3 and rake it through.

Step 3:

Lately I’ve started using the Wave Cream next.

It makes my hair so soft but doesn’t hold the waves as tight.

Step 4:

add 6–7 pumps of the Foam and rake it through.

Step 5:

I squeeze out extra water with a microfibre towel.

Step 6:

I comb through with a wide-tooth comb.

Step 7:

I use a pound coin size amount of 5, and with praying hands, apply to hair.

Gently scrunch and listen for the squelch.

Step 8:

Using my large diffuser attachment, I start by drying lightly without touching my hair.

Then I switch to pixie diffusing in large sections until my hair is 70% dry.

Step 9:

I stand up, rub my scalp and roots to break up clumps and let it air dry while I get ready.

Later I finish diffusing until it’s fully dry.

Step 10:

To finish, I rub a tiny bit of hair oil in my hands and scrunch it through to release the waves".
