Ask Abi, week 23

Question 1

"When in the steps is it best to use the wave cream?

I’ve been using it after the conditioner. I’ve probably been using too much." - Bron

My Answer

You’re absolutely right to use the Wave Cream after the conditioner.

That’s the perfect time to apply it, while your hair is still soaking wet.

This helps lock in moisture and define your waves.

If your hair is feeling weighed down, try using a little less.

About a 10p-sized amount to start for mid-length, fine hair.

Then adjust as needed.

Question 2

"I exercise a lot and so need to rinse my hair every day.

How should I deal with my hair?

I generally only wash it twice a week but condition daily, followed by wave cream (at the least)."- Jen

My Answer

Sounds like you’ve got a great routine already!

If you're rinsing daily due to exercise but only washing twice a week, that’s totally fine.

Especially since you’re conditioning after each rinse.

Daily conditioning helps keep moisture levels balanced and prevents your hair from drying out.

Applying wave cream after conditioning is a smart move too.

It helps lock in moisture and keep your waves defined without needing to restyle fully every day.

You could even try using a small amount of Refresh Spray on non-wash days to revive any flattened areas.

Just keep an eye on build-up.

If your hair starts to feel heavy or coated, you might want to clarify every few weeks.
