Ask Abi, week 20

Your questions, answered.

Question 1

My hair is frizzy by day 2 how do I manage this? - Peggy

My Answer

Frizz on day 2 is super common but a few small tweaks can help keep your waves looking fresh.

Here’s what I’d recommend:

💦 Refresh & rehydrate

Spritz our Refresh Spray onto dry or damp hair and scrunch it in to revive your waves. This helps re-moisturise and smooth frizz without needing a full wash.

🛏️ Protect while you sleep

Sleeping on a silk pillowcase or wearing your hair in a loose pineapple (a high, loose ponytail) can help reduce friction and frizz overnight.

👐 Hands off!

The more you touch your hair throughout the day, the more likely it is to frizz. Try to resist running your fingers through it too much.

🌊 Lock in moisture

If your hair tends to get extra frizzy, adding a little bit of Wave Cream on refresh days can help smooth things out and define your waves again.

Question 2

How often do you use the clarifying shampoo? - Lucy

My Answer

How often you should clarify wavy hair depends on your hair type, how much product you use and your environment.

A good general guideline is:

1) Every 2-4 Weeks

Most wavy hair types benefit from clarifying every 2-4 weeks to remove product build-up, oils and hard water deposits.

2) When Your Hair Feels Off

If your waves feel limp, dull or hard to style, that’s a sign you might need a clarifying wash to reset your hair.

3) Don’t Overdo It

Clarifying too often can strip your hair of natural oils, so balance it with your regular routine and follow up with a deep conditioner to keep your hair hydrated.

Your waves will thank you!
